What is the DURUS System by Desana Partners?

The DURUS System is a patent-DURUS is the name of the system(s) using the patent-pending tray design with stainless steel, galvalume, or galvanized trays in a rainscreen assembly. 

How does the DURUS System manage water and moisture?

DURUS systems have a dedicated water management facility featuring weep holes spaced at 1”on center, at the backside of each tray. A two inch open cavity with ventilation, ensures the most efficient water egress in rainscreen facades.

Can the DURUS trays accommodate different brick styles and colors?

Yes, the system’s unique tray design supports a wide selection of brick styles and colors from top manufacturers.

What are the options for sub-framing systems in the DURUS System?

Engineered systems from Desana are thermally isolated and create a full rainscreen assembly that meets the AAMA 509.1 requirements and all of the latest energy codes.  The combination of components allow for projections from the substrate up to ten inches for insulation, cavity, or design effect. Bond patterns include stacked bond, running bond, horizontal bonds, soldier courses, soffit areas, and more.
